Choosing a new gaming mouse and need help

Need a new mouse because my CM storm sentinel is dying, and I really think I've narrowed it down to two options: A g400 and a Deathadder 3.5G/ black edition.

Let me say first: I have owned a deathadder 3.5G for about a week and returned it because there was some faulty parts. From what I remember the shape was not uncomfortable, but when I went back to my CM (which is a lower profile mouse) it felt like a slight relief on my hand. I didn't mind the DA though. I do remember the sides were somewhat slippery and actually made it harder to control and hold the mouse, and on top of that, the mouse heated up and warmed my hand. I really like the blue lights, so unless the black edition is much easier to hold and fixes the heating issue I won't consider it.

Now, onto my little information list:

1. What's your grip style? I don't mind, I can adapt, but I do feel more comfortable using a claw for normal usage, in game I don't focus on how I hold my mouse but notice I am sometimes using a palm grip.

2. What's your sensitivity? 1800 dpi

3. What's your maximum budget? No budget, all suggestions considered, but I would prefer under AUS$70

4. Do you want additional buttons? 2 side buttons are essential, if the mouse has profiles or sensitivity adjustment, those buttons will be nice too.

5. What games do you play? CS:S and a bit of BF3

6. Do you mind about prediction? I don't have prediction on my CM, but I don't think it would be beneficial so at least having the ability to turn it off would be nice (basically, I don't care)

7. Other relevant information: right handed, hands are 20cm from bottom of palm to tip of middle finger, light weight is better, weight systems are not really wanted as they're somewhat gimmicky, wired, preferably a braided cord, onboard memory would be nice, suppose low LOD as I lift up mouse to adjust on pad frequently, and any lights or a cool design is a bonus. Also, I want a QUALITY mouse, not just a $50 mouse with every feature on the planet thrown in and made by some cheap crappy company and the mouse falls apart in 3 months.

8. Mousepad? Razer goliathus speed and/ or control edition

I'm open to all suggestions, whether they be laser or optical (not just mice similar to g400/ DA). Apparently the newer batches of g400s have been purposely made without prediction too:

Anyway, let me know what you guys would pick.

I have recommended the Deathadder to many friends and they have all loved it. It does take some getting used to but the overall feel of it is just amazing. Linking one of the left buttons on your mouse to knifing feels pretty good on battlefield.

and for a mousepad it varies on what you're looking for. I thought I would only ever be able to use a softpad like the classic mousepad. Bought a rocketfish mousepad and I have fallen in love with it.

Already got two mousepads, Razer goliathus speed and control editions. Because I only had the deathadder for a week, and I used it only about half the time, I couldn't really get used to it. I'm sure I will after a lot of use, but the slippery sides just bug me. Do they get less slippery with use 9the shininess wears down etc)? Right now I just don't know what to buy, it just seems I can't find the right mouse. The closest is the G400, the only things that I want changed are prediction removed and from my understanding that's happening, and a braided cable, but that's not going to happen.

The "slippery" sides of the deathadder have no wear on them for me after two years of use. I do see how that could be a problem though :/.

Only other mouse I've really loved is a RAT, only used it for a few weeks but I loved mine.

Ok, so i've narrowed my selections down to these mice and these mice only:

Optical:
-Razer Deathadder V2
-Razer Deathadder Black edition
-Logitech G400 (apparently they no longer have prediction)
-Mionix Naos 3200

Laser:
-Gigabyte Ghost m8000x
-Logitech G9x
-Mionix naos 5000
-Logitech G500 (although sensor is in a really bad spot apparently)
-Razer Imperator 4G
-Steelseries Ikari laser
-Corsair M60

No others are going to be considered, unless they're really really good. Anything above $70 is a bit expensive for me (AUS$), so the g9x and the naos 5000 etc are pretty much out, although I'm still looking at them.

The main choices are between a deathadder (black or 3.5), G400 (hopefully without prediction), a ghost M8000x, M60 and an ikari laser. Just a side question, do the m8000x and the ikari have acceleration?

Also, are the sides on the normal deathadder so slippery it becomes unusable, or they just become a little bit slippery and thats it?

Thanks.

I just recently got the DA Black Edition and it's a dream to play with. 1800dpi, 1000mhz, and 6/11 pointer speed. Absolutely a blast to play with, so +1 the DA:BE

G400:) its an epic mouse! Also the G500's have bogus switch's. The left click tends to stock functioning proper on them after a while. Google it lol. Mine is starting to do it, mind you after tons and tons of BF2 and BF3 sessons:)

Well, I've thought about it and I really think that I've narrowed my options down to the following:

-Razer Deathadder 3.5G/ black edition
-Logitech G400
-Ghost M8000x
-Corsair M60
-Logitech G9x
-Steelseries Ikari Laser

The others are all valid options, but meh. These are the most likely and of these, the two most likely are a deathadder and a G400. I've had a mouse with the weights system and macros and on the fly dpi, but I've found i don't need weights (they're useless, really) and once I find a dpi, I stick with it (and in reality it isn't that hard to go into the software and change it, instead of having an extra button on the mouse). So those features are not necessary, they're just gimmicky. Also, I'm nervous about going to a laser sensor for acceleration, even though my current mouse is laser. But for the other features 9profiles, macros etc) I've learnt I never use them once I'm set, and a mouse is a mouse, not a portable storage device. So that's another reason why I'mm going for a more basic optical mouse. But, I want to know whether to go for a regular DA or the black edition (I know the sides are slippery on the regular but do they make it unusable?), or a G400 vs any deathadder. The others in this refined list are less likely to be chosen, but i do really like the standard deathadder.

Just on a side note, I did have a regular deathadder 3.5g for about a week but returned due to a faulty click, but i didn't game with it. Even then I noticed the sides were slippery, but again i didn't game so I can't tell whether it would effect me in game or not. Also, mine had this issue where it would actually warm up near the pulsating logo. is this normal, and if so, does it happen on the black edition too?

Guys, I really need help. My storm sentinel just broke, scroll wheel doesn't work anymore and I can't live without a working scroll wheel, so I'm using this cheap Microsoft optical mouse. What would you guys pick off that list (not for value for money, if you could choose one for free I guess).
