I guarantee that there is a guy in the TV section that knows more about computers than everyone combined in the computer section.

What I HATE about that store is:
ME:"Hi, I need 2GB of DDR2-667 RAM"
HIM/HER:"No problem,What else are you getting..." They start looking through my cart to get a bonus of s*** they didn't help me with.

Sleazy leeches.

You get to the check out and what happens? THEY SCAN EVERYTHING AGAIN AND SCAN HIS PAPER TOO!!! AHHHHH!!!

I need to sleep more and drink less coffee...4 cups drip and triple shot mocha makes me crazy.

well at my fry's I was actually impressed with only a couple of people asked me for help. as I walked through the store, I noticed like 700 employees!!!!!!! thank god only 2-3 people asked me for help. Honestly, there was LOTS of employees, most of them doing nothing. talking to each other.

on the other hand, with the amount of computer parts they have, I will definatly go back!

I don't even know that a Fry's is but here in ohio we have MicroCenters pc malls. They have a good amount of stuff but its kinda like a pepboys for pc's if you get what I mean.. To get the best stuff I still gota order off the net..

The guys at the microcenter can be dumb too. when I got my RBX block there I asked what the advantage or the reason for the 3 barbs and he had to look up the lame description of the block on the danger den website. I'm like who put this guy in charge of the water cooling section? Then after waiting 15min for him to dig around on the net he wanted to put this sticker with his name on it to get commission for the help he game me which amounted to nothing..

I noticed on TT's web site in the middle of last year saying that Radioshack was one of their Retailers. I Checked out the shops in my surrounding area shortly after that and found nothing. I just recently talked to on of the Managers (a friend of mine) and he said that he saw TT displaying at their show in Las Vegas (the show where companys show off their crap to the big wigs of the company) so it doesn't surpise me that TT is in some of the stores. How ever i am a little skeptic of what took so long for anything to show up? Pricing won't be to bad though. And it is a good place if your in a squeeze. I think it's a good move. BUt people are right. R.S. is more of a phone store then anything else. They need to branch out before they bite them selves in the ass. It's good to stick to your roots, no?

I walked into the Radio Shck by my old place a while ago because I need 1(one) motherboard standoff for a build.......the place was wall to wall Cell phones and accesories, with some RC trucks on another wall and some CB radios......when I asked for the standoffs, and explained what they were to blank stares they were like.."Huh?" Finally the manager come out from the back and they aske dhim. He stated they didn't carry those anymore....

I remember when you could build a robot that could cook you dinner from parts at Radio Shack....this place was sad.

I'm going to check out a different location near my new place and see fi they are better equiped....
