In england we have pc world...I went in to buy a psu and came out an hour later after I filled in a load of questionnaires by this odd man standing there asking me questions...

I was happy though, he gave me a lolly. That was a damn good lolly.

I'm going to check out a different location near my new place and see fi they are better equiped....

Ya man...radio shack used to be the MAD hookups for adapters, wires, sockets, whatever you needed for hooking stuff up...

All they got now, is cheap iPod imitaions, crappy laptops, and accessories for electronic junk..

Yeah, radioshacks are all over the place.

Some aren't OFFICIAL radioshacks though, some are just franchised stores (aka - imposters). The one here in milwaukee was really good, had tons of random electronic parts like inducts and caps and resistors nicely organized and tons and tons of cables. Nice place for getting a stereo to play from your PS2 and all that, ya know?

Mine didn't have any WC stuff, and they only had one 10k ohm trimmer. I needed a few 20k ohm ones for my Vmod but noooo. So I asked when they were getting more in and they offered me a cell phone, and I just walked out. The guy didn't even listen to my question. I might never go there again.

The time when the manager started yelling at my girlfriend was BS. She was looking for one of those things for the TV that controls the volume on commercials so they aren't louder than the program you are watching. She asked the guy and he said they don't have them and she said "well I know a store in (some other state) had one in stock. Can you have them ship it here?"

The guy was all like "Didn't you just hear what I said? They aren't made anymore. I've been working here for 5 years. I think I know what I'm talking about. Don't act like you know more about my store than I do!"

/death

To be fair to RS, the last time I went in there was this guy that was a lot taller than me (I'm 6'4") and he was so cool. He helped me out and made fun of one of the guys that was trying to help me and then told him to "shoo"

I think this is the main fact of the matter, that some people can't grasp... Radioshack makes NO profit from selling you parts... NONE, zero, zilch, notta! So if you're one of those people who think like this: "I love radioshack... i can walk in and pick up that thermistor i really need at 9pm, but then go on to say... i would never buy any high end electronics there! they are too expensive!" You are the very reason Radioshack stopped selling parts, because the people who are smart enough to be using those parts, dont buy anything BUT parts. So don't go judging radioshack for their change in inventory, when the very people upset by it, are to blame for it.

Believe it or not there is a happy median. If they could find some customer service while searching for this happy median that'd be super

Meridian or Lansing? They both suck, just wondering. The BC one's not to bad though.
