After like 1.5 years of heavy usage, like at least 8 hours per day (over 2k hours in CSGO included). My middle mouse click is broken, and some coating wear off. Not a big deal, still love it (Naos 7000)

So far my Naos 7000 is probably close on a year old now and it is working fine. Wheel seems fine. Both left and right mouse seem fine. Dunno whats up with all the samples dying at 6 months to a year as I have read above in the recent posts.

I'm the happy owner of a NAOS 5000 mouse for a couple of years. Truly the best mouse I ever owned!

When the NAOS 7000 was announced I just had to get once. My girlfriend got me one as a late christmas present. To top it off I also got a new Propus mouse pad to go with it.
It finally arrived today and I was so excited.

So I hooked up the mouse, installed the software and started playing around. I also ran the SQAT tool. As advertised on the Mionix site, it should get me a 90% score right?
Wrong! It scored only 50% (sometimes 60%). I could almost cry...

When I hook up my old NAOS 5000 it scores a solid 90%. So I guess the pad itself is fine.

I also feel the mouse is not responding as expected. For example when trying to select a piece of text the mouse does not stop where I would expect it to.
With the NAOS 5000 I had pin-point precisiosn with stuff like that. And yes pointer acceleration is turned off.
Also the cursor seems to move by itself sometimes?

What do you guys think about this? RMA?

EDIT: I feel that the mouse "hangs" for a few milisecs and then continous. This gives a bit of a "stutter" effect. I let my girlfriend try the mouse and she made the same comment. also connected the mouse to a different computer and same low SQAT score / stutter....

Yeah, i got the same stuttering with Naos 7000 and Propus 380. I contacted Mionix and they were kind, they shipped me another mat (the normal Propus this time, not the 380) and I still had a problem. Then they shipped me a new Naos 7000 and the first day I got it Ihad no issue, then while playing I started seeing the stutter and cursor moving around on its own again. I didn't bother opening another ticket as with two mats and two mouse I have the same issue it oughta be a systematic probelm, also I just saw other people's posts with the same issue.
I also have an Avior 7000 and that one has zero problems with the Propus but I don't game with it, quite disappointing.
I recorded my desktop and handcam to show u the issue.

I had the same issue with my naos too, i have 2 naos 7000 one exhibits this type of problem more than the other (both do) turns out it was my mousepad. I contacted mionix like 1,5year ago and they wer asking so many questions OH MY GOD take a pic, take a video, do this, do that until they will offer a return or a solution, i didn't went with a replacement though. Anyway this mouse is very selective on which mousepad will operate normally and which not, i used it with steelseries s&s / 4hd , coolermaster swift and lastly roccat taito the only suraface without problems was the roccat. I'm stuck using it with the taito which i don't like but oh well. This mouse from what is seems can't even play properly on ther own mousepads
Only solution is to have like 5-10 mousepads until u find one that the naos likes ...

Yeah but I am using their own mat. I have been using the Naos with the Razer goliathus speed and never had a problem, if their mouse doesn't work with their mats...

I have a Mionix castor mouse that I have been enjoying since getting it last year. Yesterday I was on the couch, got up and went to sit in front of my PC, when I touched the mouse there was a static electrical tick that I heard as soon as my hand touched the mouse. Ever since it seems to me that the mouse is running hotter than usual ever since. It's quite warm close to the sensor but also when using it. Has anybody has this problem or know if I might have broken something?

Probably your imagination, the mouse was always hot around this area u just happen to notice after ur "accident". Almost impossible for static electricity to pass from the exterior to the interior onto the pcb and fry something... heck even if u had touched the pcb i doubt anything would fail. In case that ur mouse is defective u have a short on the pcb, but from what u said, i understand that the heat is only concentrated around the sensor area so u shouldn't be able to feel it while playing, so i speculate that while u play u lift the mouse to feel the sensor area. Even so there nothing u can do about it, if mionix offers u a replacement that's cool but i highly doubt it since the mouse probably is working perfectly fine, and no professional electronics repair technician will bother with a mouse.

You are most probably right about the static electricity not having any negative effect on the mouse. That said, i still feel the mouse is warmer than usual. The heat is definitely concentrated around the sensor area on the bottom but it transfer upwards enough that I feel just while using the mouse normally during gaming. I will wait and see, worst case I will try to return it. Do you know if Mionix has had similar issues with quality or are they egenrally reliable? Thanks.
