What's up with the software? Are the profiles stored on the mouse or in the software? Does it require online activation? Firmware easy to update with Mionix?

What do you think?

Very interested in giving this mouse a try. Along with the Mionx Ensis 320 black brushed aluminum mouse pad.

Does anyone actually know what this mouse weighs? I asked in a different thread but no answer. Specs say 320 grams but I'm going out on a limb and it must be including the box and contents.

Profiles (at least settings) are stored on the mouse, but the software is glitchy and can cause problems. The firmware is spotty and has been known to brick the mouse occasionally.

This isn't a Mionix only bug because other mice do this. My previous Mamba 2011 version would do the same. I had to unplug USB and replug in UEFI to unfreeze. This one I can live with easily as going into UEFI is not often.

The software issues which the mouse relies on would be more my concern.

I just uninstall the software when I get it all setup. I got really lucky with the firmware update recently, it fixed a doubleclicking problem and didn't brick it. I should buy a lotto ticket...

I wonder if the new 8200 software would work on the 5000 I like the idea of setting the LEDS to different colors as well as the LED effects
