I think I'll give the M60 a few more days, then I'll probably trade it in. Which Naos did you get?

I got the 3200. I could not justify spending an extra $30 just for the weights, as well as couldn't afford it tongue.gif

Have they fixed the LED light issue near the scroll wheel in the 8200 newer batches yet?

Edit: 21/02/13

I have sent the support team an email regarding the bright LED on the left side of the scroll wheel on the 8200 mices.

Naos 8200 - Bright LED Light on left side of scroll wheel RGB 255-255-255 (white) turning up pinkish on the Mionix logo but white throughout the rest.

First Reply:

"I've heard about this issue but never seen it myself on any of the Naos 8200 we have at the office and they should be from the same batch. Would it be possible for you to send me a few pictues of this that I can forward to our designers and see what changes that can be made?

Regards,
Anders"

Second Reply:

Thanks for the pictures and video, I will have a look at this after chinese new years and see if we can tweak the LED a bit and maybe change the plastic on the scroll to milky plastic to fix this issue on upcoming batches.

White have been an issue with the RGB LEDs for a while now, we just sat down and tweaked the LEDs on an upcoming product and feel we got as close as we can to a pure white color. The Naos 8200 have a few more LEDs, so we need to look those extra LEDs over as well, but I have good hopes that we can release an updated firmware that can gives this option to the Naos 8200 as well.

Cheers,
Anders

Third (Final) Reply:

We will change to a milky plastic on the scrollwheel and it seems to have had a significant effect on the LED issue. Due to the placement of the LED it may still have a small glare from certain angles, but over all it looks much better.

You can see the difference on the attached picture. On the right hand mouse you can also see the ongoing work with the white color.

Next batch that goes in to production in about 3 weeks will have these changes, should reach the market in about 2 months, depending on orders and location.

Regards,
Anders

Waiting on one more reply and hopefully we'll have ETA on the newer batches with the fixed LED points.

Great replies from their support staff.

I have mine set to solid white, if you look at a precise angle at the wheel, you'll catch the direct LED flare of the red LED that is displaying the DPI up arrow on the mouse. Other than that, it looks great.

Hiya naos 5000 owners. I while back I read about a lot of problems of the firmware and hardware of the 5000. Are they all fixed now? I'm shopping for a new mouse and the 5000 fits the criteria quite nicely. TIA.

I think I understand your question: I briefly owned the Naos 5000 and the led color was changable through the pc driver program. Hope I helped? thumb.gif
