That's a great deal. Your right about not passing that up. smile.gif

I have my mouse on the Sargas 320 too. I really enjoy the low profile resting my wrist on the pad. So far has not deteriorated the edges like the SS QCK Mini I had in less than five months.

Enjoy.

Hey guys, just picked up a 8200 and I'm happy with it for the most part but I've found that the LEDs don't exactly display the color I select. If I want a white glow I put 255 255 255, but it comes out pink. The same applies to any value involving red (orange, purple, etc). Is there a fix for this outside of replacing the mouse?

On the OP page is a link to a review where I found the same issue. Mionix NAOS 8200 Review

Returning it won't change that. Hope the review explains all I saw as a CON for those preferring all white LED. Aside from the LED white and the bright spot viewing from the top of the mouse performance wise was very good for a laser mouse.

Only other CON for some might be the weight in FPS gaming or swipers. Unless your hand is big you may have issues with that.

Edit - however hands of all sizes will find this to be a very comfortable mouse.

I actually read your review prior to purchasing the mouse and was hoping it would be an isolated case. The LED problem you mentioned is definitely not present in my mouse even if I try really hard to peer into the mouse wheel, trade offs I guess tongue.gif

Thankyou for reporting that about the LED light from the top view. Wondering if Mionix repositioned the LED light in manufacturing. If we keep getting these reports back from new purchases we might be able to confirm this. It's not even that big a deal but any thing from perfection from a company is usually unacceptable.

There are only really two problems with my mouse, the inability to get certain colors to display properly on the LEDs and the preset colors from the software don't actually do what they say. You know how the software has a range from red to yellow on the top row? All 3 non yellow colors show the same faded pink. The same applies to the other three rows as well. However, if I manually input all the colors in the custom RGB box they show up much better than the preset.

This may differ from unit to unit. The RGB LED have different bin/cat types but all use the same values in the firmware - so a particular bad match is possible. However your case sounds not acceptable.

Short of Mionix/Amazon shipping me a new one I'm boned either way. They don't actually have an official Mionix distributor here in HK so I had to use a courier service to get the mouse from the US to HK, which funnily enough is still cheaper than buying the 5000 locally as a grey market product. I've talked to Amazon and they're willing to honor the warranty if I can ship them this mouse with the defective LEDs. However, if we factor in the initial shipping costs that it took to order the mouse the first round (11 usd from Amazon to courier, and roughly 15 USD to get it here) and add on the cost to ship it back to the US for replacement, I can just get a new mouse for several dollars more.
