SSDs and Mobo controllers.

Hello all. Yes, I still have not jumped on the ssd wagon even when I made a thread around black friday saying i would be getting one soon redface.gif

This may sound like a dumb or silly question, but would the intel and or j micron controller be okay to use for the ssd? (most likely an m4)

I ask because I could of swore i read about stuttering with the j micron controller and something about the intel controller as well.

My board for reference.

thanks as always guys grouphug.gif

Thank you Sean! thumb.gif Also.. I was thinking, I'm not sure if i want to drop the money on a 128 gb m4 right now.. I was kinda looking at some other stuff for my pc as well.

Would I be able to buy 1 64gb now, another later, and run a raid 0 array with them? I believe I would lose trim, but just needed some confirmation for that.

Yes you lose TRIM, but TRIM will be supported in RAID 0 soon anyways and GC works good enough anyways so it doesn't matter.
