I vote Tropico as well. Humorous, replayable, no enemies. It's sort of like sim city but with a tongue-in-cheek approach (I have T3) to the Cold war.

In Minecraft, there's a "create" mode, where you just build whatever the heck you want. You can literally build absolutely anything. Cities, pixel art, working plumbing, electrical stuff (simple switches), statues, its all possible.

Then there's survival mode, which you can still build stuff....but you have to make your own tools, and make your own materials from the stuff you find in the world (chopping down trees, mining for various metals and stones).

+1 for minecraft, although let it be said if she doesn't want enemies in the game but she doesn't want to play creative mode she turn the difficulty for survival all the way down and the enemies won't attack you until you do. wink.gif

Get her to try the l4d2 demo, nothing lost if she hates it.

If you can find disks to buy somewhere, black and white 2 is a GREAT city building game with a cute giant pet, you're basically god. Then there's spore. None of the combat in those games, save l4d, should be overly challenging to her.

Minecraft is rather boring in single player, but if you get into a good online server with a strong community then it can be lots of fun. I was ready to delete my copy of the game and never touch it again until my friend convinced me to join his server. Theres infinite flexibility in what you can build, and it has a very short learning curve.

Portal 1 & 2, team fortress 2?

My gf is addicted to tf2. Which is weird because she hates the other fps games.

I recommend The server MC.Nyancraft.com if she does get Minecraft cause they have really good staff and they don't tolerate Griefers, Spammers, Rude people and they have hourly backups and nightly offsite backups. They also have a Mod Request system so if you do get griefed it will list you in their system as needing help and they will come and rollback any griefs. Also they have a good community. thumb.gif
