1/4" to 1/8" adapter cable

Thread Starter
The audio jack on my laptop is finiky, and the masive plug/adapter on my Sennheiser HD595's is so heavy it causes the plug to be pulled into a position where it doesnt work. I was wondering if I could replace the fixed adapter with a cable adapter, so that the plug at the laptop end would be light enough to stay in the lose plug.

I talked to a guy at Radio Shack who said they only sell cables going the other way (1/8" to 1/4"), and that I might have better luck on-line, but so far I have found nothing.

Grado labs makes a good adapter.

or I could build you a custom one to whatever length you want. I could use a locking 1/4" jack if you wanted. I have a non-locking in-line jack at the moment though PM me if you want a custom one (I'd make it with silver plated cop[er instead of the plain copper cable you'll find in commercial adapters)
