I think it has to do with most games being very dull/bland.

The last game I thoroughly enjoyed was probably GTA IV + Expansions, what got me was the great ATMOSPHERE of the game. Just amazing.

My PS1 and PS2 still survive up to this date and some of the best jRPGs still keep me busy along with life.

Currently playing Ar Tonelico 1 on the PS2 and Defense Grid: The Awakening and SOTIS (SC2 MOBA Mod). Haven't touched my PS3 in a year now. Playing atleast 2 hours a day then it's back to work and life. :/

Take a break, then come back, try some other interests.

There's some awesome fiction books out there, the book "Metro 2033" is awesome and creepy. So is "Roadside Picnic" the book they based the stalker games on loosely.

I get sick of gaming everyone and a while. Some time's you have to take a break for a few months or wait for some new titles to pile up so you have a back log to play. Other time's I can't pry myself from game's... just the cycle of a gamer:)

I used to play games religiously. Day and night sessions of GoW and BF2. Ever since I got a job I hardly play any games. Cancelled my subscription to Live, BF3 hardly gets my attention anymore. Makes me sad sometimes, but I actually get out and do things now.
