A problem I seem to encounter sometimes is you play games that are so incredibly impressive that you just don't dig other games as much after even if they're decent.

Playing Half Life 2 + the episodes, portal 1 and 2, its kinda hard to go to something of lesser quality even if its not bad. Same thing with graphics.

Also after I played the starcraft 2 campaign which I thought was the best rts campaign even i tried to play dawn of war 2 and just felt dissapointed.

yep
same here
getting lazy
I find it requires effort to play games now
since i'm a trophy whore, online trophies are time sensitive and require way more effort than I would like to put in to earn them
online trophies should have never existed
at the sametime I find gaming less rewarding, less enjoyable, less fun
sometimes it's a chore, not a leisure

I concur. I picked up a bunch of classic RTS games from my friend (CnC: TS, AoE2, Red Alert) and halo 1 + 2. Almost done with halo 1 and its very refreshing compared to all the shovel-ware games.

Also just picked up Crysis 2 for $10. Play through that eventually.

I'm finished playing games on release as far as I'm concerned.

Sometimes I do, i get burnt out and think to myself am i really having fun?


Usually I am but gaming can be frustrating sometimes for me.

Just got finished with mafia 2 a few days ago story was ok ending horrible, felt like wasted time. Can get myself to finish crysis 2. Just got steam and team fortress 2 is ok abit boring online people don't chat like they do in css.

I rather play games on pc than xbox less hassle, I feel like it's a chore no joke especially xbox live since it's not free you feel like your wasting money if you don't play on live. I really need to play sometime this week. It has been too long.

The only games I found actually interesting on the Xbox lately are RTS games because they pose more of a challenge. Lol actually I have been playing Halo Wars most recently.. rolleyes.gif

I am 29 and have been gaming since I was a kid and I just started a couple of years ago to get bored of gaming. I LOVE gaming with a passion still but I do not play as much as I used to anymore. I still love Building PC's as well. I spend most of my time on OCN now a days reading, learning n such. I think another thing with me is that I do not have any friends on origin and some on steam but no one really wants to play anything. I like playing with friends rather then with someone i dont know n stuff.

 

My other thing is that with the PS3 and the 360 I am sick of the current gen. I love graphics & the current consoles just dont do it for me which makes me less interested

Same for me Im thirty three now....I played a lot of games until i would say October of last year when I quit smoking, Dont ask me I seriously cant game if I dont smoke. I have a Ps3 and my comp the ps3 is for like hulu and netflix atm then I got things like Tor and Skyrim but just cant be bothered.....the games are kinda mad.gif anymore for the most part. Sadly I would say if I was gonna play something right now I would fire Diablo 2 back up...its like that secret affair you keep hidden since highschool into middle age for me O_o
