Good Work Mouse for Deathadder User?

Thread Starter
I'm looking to buy myself a good mouse for work, where I use the computer all day. Currently I use a simple old Microsoft infrared mouse. Being a Deathadder user at home, I like the shape of the Microsoft mice with their large hump, but I want more buttons and higher sensitivity with a DPI in the range of 1800 - 2000.

Presently considering another Deathadder or the G400, but would love to get some other choices that offer a similar feel at a cheaper price. Since this is not going to be used for gaming, I'm less concerned about the sensor. Just looking for a decent palm-grip mouse that I could be comfortable using all day for productivity. Programmable buttons would be nice (I assume all mice with more than 3 buttons have this?), but I'm okay with just the default back/forward as well. A scroll wheel with discernible tactile clicks is important, as I hate those mice where the wheel rolls effortlessly.

Any help would be appreciated.

Get the Logitech G400. It's way cheaper than another DA.

Thanks, I just edited to include that I was considering it. However, the regular Deathadder turns out to be on sale on Amazon today. Current difference between the two is ~$4. Perhaps it was meant to be? biggrin.gif

If the DA is that cheap, don't think twice about getting it.

How about the Mionix Naos 3200? That is a good DA alternative.

Thanks, but this one's actually more expensive than the DA. I never really considered it before and I think I'd be willing to rule it out for this reason alone.

I have two computers at my desk, with use between them split about 80/20. If I really wanted to keep it consistent across the board, then I would have to buy two. rolleyes.gif

Comfort mouse 6000 would likely be reasonable if you're not gaming.

Comfort Mouse 6000 would be good if not for the 1000 DPI. My issue with non-gaming mice is I always find them too slow. Even with Windows pointer speed on the max setting.

......?

1000 CPI x 3.5 (11/11) windows speed = 3500. Same as the DA's max speed assuming 6/11 or "1", just has a jumpy interpolated feeling.

Not slow 8)
