Is the SteelSeries 6GV2 A good keyboard? - Page 2

I like mine pretty well. The large enter key is a bit annoying, but I got it during one of steelseries sales, so for $62 shipped it worked out to being one of the cheapest mechanical keyboards at the time, so good enough for me. biggrin.gif

I also got one during the special deal. Its a solid board but unfortunately it wasn't for me. I hate the key setup around the enter key. I absolutely despise cherry MX black switches. Way too heavy when I need to keep a button held down for an extended period while gaming. I use blacks at work but its on a 15 year old Wyse board so the switches are very broken in. I eventually decided to save up my Amazon gift cards and splurge on a Filco tenkeyless yellow edition (huge Bruins fan) with blues. I am now in heaven. Wish I had the money for one for work too. The click and light keys make me a happy panda. I also got o-rings from wasd keyboards to counteract the bottoming out and some travel length.

I had almost pulled the trigger on a 6gv2 then I noticed it had an ISO reverse J enter key and that killed it for me. CMStorm Quickfire in Reds here I come.
