$70 corsair cx600
$15 cheap case
$50 recertified 250gb drive
goes 50 bucks over budget but is twice as fast as what you're suggesting

Keep in mind that this is for my brother not me, and he really wanted that specific case as i posted in the OP. You also posted no OS. ALSO where am i going to get a 15$ case to house this gaming rig? it would look like a POS for that price, and probably have no fans... thanks anyways tho

6950? Waaaay overkill for Dota

Save ~$100 and buy a 6850

Use that money to get a better case

Get an Antec Earthwatt 380W for ~$50 on newegg. Cheaper for the purpose and reliable

Also, go with the Pentium, you don't need the i3 for Dota purposes

how's a silly looking case going to help the rigs performance? tongue.gif unless you're shedding heat from a multi gpu setup or at least a quad core cpu you don't need any fans anyway. Also just because the rig would be overqualified for the games he plays right now doesn't mean he's going to play them forever, in fact he probably only plays them right now because his current rig cant run any of the more demanding stuff. Anyway.. you should at least get him a proper psu and a motherboard, right now he would have no upgrade path and he would just have to buy a whole new rig due to cheaping out a few bucks with the initial purchase.
