I'm not putting much faith into it TBH.

Exactly. Faith begins where reason ends.

AMD have simply let far too many people down with the BD disaster, they have to start delivering and stop hyping.

Besides it's more likely some guy is trolling the AMD fanboys and they've fallen for it.

yep, plus the hyping of piledriver and unrealistic percentage increases begin, just like in the BD Blog thread. i will keep my expectations low for AMD's next release

Because there are major issues that cloud what the chip could do in optimum conditions.

If cache latencies are decreased we can expect a pretty decent bump in IPC, since the small caches paired to the ridiculously high latencies really hurted BD's performance.

As for Bulldozer clearing the sand over the bridge, I think it's more like 'it's clearing the sand above itself' xD

I guess I am keeping my fingers crossed and REALLY hoping something better comes our way with PD. I am still thinking I may get a 8150 to tinker with, just not fully decided on it yet. If the B3 revisions (?) are actually released and do perform better to justify an upgrade, then I may go for that. Just really itching to upgrade my 965 BE here lately..

It's not fanboyism. I just want to sing a different tune for once (since the P4 vs Athlon XP days, that is). We need competitive chips. I WANT this to be true. If this is true, I hope it actually leads to a performance increase that's at least worth talking about.
