look at the bottom of the res here:

You could use a male to male G1/4 fitting to mate that EK res (or any tube res for that matter) to the top of the dual pump but you might be stuck with the ports on the res facing the wrong direction when the fitting is tight. That is the main advantage of the Swiftech tube, you can make sure the ports line up to where they work the best with your build.
Something like this is what I am talking about:

The reservoir pictured is one of the originals. One of those that developed cracks and were to be sent back to Swiftech for a free replacement.
The new models come with a cap that has a port in it. I think it was Martin that made the little upgrade where you use the fitting on the cap as an inlet. You mount a fitting on the inside of the cap and run a short length of tubing from it almost to the bottom of the reservoir. This helps to substantially increase the flow rate through the reservoir.
Use whatever fitting you want on the top of the cap and then another one inside the cap to hold the piece of tubing.
I just found it on his site: http://martinsliquidlab.org/2011/02/25/swiftech-mcp-35x-reservoir/ It's pictured near the middle of the page.
Thanks for yet another great idea Martin!
