Not really, I'm still trying to pinpoint the issue.

what are the 12V ratings on the psu? is the psu single rail or multiple? what i'm thinking is there is a possibility that its a multi rail with all the cards on the same rail, once full load hits rail is overloaded the psu kicks off.

Here are the specs, I'm not a psu buff so I'm not sure.

ok how are the cards connected 2 6 pin each? or molex adapters? if your using all the 6 pins try flipping 1 on each card so from card 1 take the first and put it in the seconds spot on the second card.

its down now to trying to figure out which connectors are shared with other devices and trying to take them off the same rail.

I got 2 cables (each has 2 6 pins with one connected to an 8 pin converter) I put each cable on one video card. So each cable with 2 6 pin heads is connected to one video card.

Basically what Ur saying is, take one connector out of each card and plug it into the other? Won't that put the same stress on the rail anyway?

ah never mind i assumed they where 4 individual cables, originally i was thinking that it was a possiblity one or two of the cables had other devices on it so it coulden't put the full amperage to the cards
beyond that i'm at a loss the psu has 5 12V rails at 18A each, the only other possibility is each cable with two 6 pins is18A by itself, i dont no the requirements of your cards off the top of my head but there may be a chance you might have to use 1 of the pins then a molex to 6/8 pin adapter.
check the requirements of the cards first.

I think I'll just get a new psu. Its the only thing that could be the problem unless one of the cards are failing, because this problem never happened until I upgraded.

If the cards work single... then it isn't either of the cards. with that PSU, the rails aren't holding the juice needed to power both cards at full load, even being a 1000w. PSU rating is very subjective. you can pick up a PSU and if it isn't that return it but from reading the thread and looking at the above link I would suggest PSU, after all it is a $80 1000watt pSU rolleyes.gif thing is junk imo

get a PSU that supports the cards without having to use adaptors wink.gif like the coolermaster 1200w you talked about, that should do it no worries (if in fact it is PSU issue)

My suggestion would be a AX1200... i run two in two different systems with SLI GTX 580s in both... never had a issue. solid PSU
