Getting all of my gear on Wednesday to get my loop going in my 500R - RX240, some 120 Swiftech, and the rest of it. Couldn't find reasonably priced light blue sleeving so I settled on white, which is fine - I like black and white. However, I had planned on doing white coolant but I've already doubled my budget (sitting around $500 right now) for no actual performance gain other than what OCing will bring to the table, so $30/bottle coolant really isn't going to happen.

Based on searching, it doesn't look like there is any way to dye water white. This leads me to my next question, which is one of personal preference - do you guys think it would look good if I sleeved my tubing in white anti-kink coils and did the darkest coolant possible (like black)?

And, seriously, I will figure out a way to negative rep anyone that says "buy white tubing" or "buy black tubing." Do not make this suggestion tongue.gif

Buy white tubing. (I had to say it)

Um, I've never tried to dye water white, but I've always used solid color tubing. I thought there was a white dye, but now that I think about it, that might be difficult to accomplish, hah. I'm personally interested to know how your loop is $500 tongue.gif I think mine was $500 when I was done, but that was because I bought top of the line stuff that I didn't really need.

I have seen the kink coils contrasting done before, its a personal taste. I don't really like it, but I can appreciate it. You'll lose your mind trying to get them all evenly spaced tongue.gif

Honestly, the tubing is like $20, you're already in 500, what does it matter at this point? Lmao.

I'm only aware of two White fluids on the market. Ice Dragon @ $30 and Fluid XP+ Nano @ $45. The Ice Dragon is pretty comparable with other fluids for cooling, however the Fluid XP is a few degrees off. Definitely not worth the $45 price tag.

Honestly, I had a hard time swallowing $20 a liter for fluid. I would not pay $30-45. This is exactly why I'm now running distilled, though I used colored tubing in both cases. Get the tubing and call it a day.

Ice Dragon looks like a suspension of some white precipitate. What precipitate, I have no idea. But if you want to experiment; CaCO3 is cheap, almost insoluble and white under water. However you will need the pump on at all times to keep it suspended in the water column.

This is getting into a strange realm that sounds like clogged pump city, but if someone else wants to try it to see if it works...

Agh, I had typed long replies to all of those and just learned that when you click quote for another one it apparently erases everything. What I'm thinking now is I will exchange the clear tubing I bought locally for white and use black dye. That way I can put white anti kink coils on the clear and the rest will be white. It should look pretty awesome..hopefully..

Mayhems do awesome white coolant a friend used it in one of his builds, They sell it on special tech in the UK but i dont know if they ship to the US. Also its not that expensive certainly less that $35. However i would say just go with white tubing as its alot less fuss IMHO.

That is what I'm going to wind up doing...for some of the loop. Hopefully it will look good with partial clear tubing (with black dye and white antikink) and white. We will see, I suppose.

Ice Dragon is suspended zinc-oxide nanoparticles with a surfactant that prevents them from sticking together. It won't clog anything. Personally, I think white tubing looks like garbage and when compared to white liquid in clear tubing it looks even worse..
