mouse THAT important?

Thread Starter
i might get flamed for this but im not a hardcore gamer really so i never thought about it. I had a decent cheap mouse Laser mouse i bought at k mart that was alright, but most importantly fit really well with my hand. it broke. (no surprise for the price) now i have been using a cheap and crappy dell optical that is probably worth NOTHING. Most importantly i hate the optical and i want a laser mouse again. I have been playing BF3 alot recently and I kinda wanna get a good mouse.

For my budget, im thinking of getting the Razer Death Adder. Anyone like it?

Would i really see a change in my experience playing bf3 online?

sorry again for the noob question

A nicer gaming mouse adds a lot more depth to the game, when you don't have stuttering in the mouse movement. I personally have a Logitech G9x and I love the damn thing. I even prefer it over a Rat 7 Albino. It's about 60 or 80 dollars right now and it's totally worth it.

I may also get flamed for this, but I think that, alongside the monitor, the keyboard and mouse are the most important part of a rig. As long as the rig isn't too crappy, you are going to get more pleasure from a nice keyboard and mouse combo than, say, jumping from an i3 to an i7.

Many pro gamers use an MX-518. DPI doesn't matter, and if the sensor doesn't have prediction or acceleration, everything else really is inconsequential.

That said, the Deathadder's sensor is arguably the best sensor on the market... in my opinion certainly so.

The shape of the Deathadder is mid-sized, much like the Intellimouse 3.0 (or a bigger intellimouse 1.1).

If you get a Deathadder, make sure to get Hyperglides (or some other replacement mouse feet), because the Deathadder's mouse feet are too thin, which can make the mouse drag. Just layer the Hyperglides right on top of the stock feet, the mouse really does need some extra clearance.

Deathadder + Hyperglides + Artisan shiden-kai mid is the best setup I've ever used in 5+ years of switching out mice and mousepads. Aside from the glossy sides on the Deathadder and the easily fixed mouse feet, it really is near a perfect mouse with a very accurate sensor.

a mouse keyboard and monitor are your hands and eyes they are part of your interactions and reactions

why wouldn you chose the best you can get ?

if you could chose what kinda limbs and senses you could have ,would you chose some crappy 80 year old stuff or the greatest strongest out there?

If you can find the mx518 cheap, get that. If not, the deathadder is my second choice. KISS, keep it simple stupid, works for both of these as they still are some of the best mice out there.

As long as the mouse fits my hand correctly, Ill do work. That's prolly the biggest thing imho. You can have an awesome mouse, but still be a terrible shot. I guarantee you out of the 4 mouses I've had not 1 has improved my shot over the other in Counterstrike Source from a hardware point of view. Its all about YOUR reaction and Accuracy in the end imho. Currently on a NZXT Avatar S and it fits my hand perfectly.
