i love reviews like this that make it sound like you can move the amps of a power supply higher without rasing the wattage.. rolleyes.gif

But just wondering here, if you then get a motherboard with high quality transistors and good VRM's, would it then be a problem to use singlerail under benching and such?
Thanks!

GPU VRMs can also fail. You can also get other types of short circuits that normal short circuit protection (SCP) won't pick up. It also acts as a back-up to normal over power protection (OPP).

Had an xfx psu before my current, psu wise it was excellent performed really well, switched to a 1250w ozc psu purely because I got it cheap and prefer the looks, my pc is black/blue lighting and mem so a green psu just didn't fit lol

hmmm....shame but u have a corsair PSU. its the same. Corsair and XFX use seasonic as their OEM manufacture so they are the same yet the XFX are cheaper.

I'm willing to put my 750w XFX black edition against even against the best 800watt power supplies.

Good internals, good PSU and its not just a box with colored stickers, so why complain on looks. It's different, and looks good imo, not that you'll spend much time looking at your PSU...

I have owner 5 XFX GPU's and cant complain about any of it. Great performnace, great warranty, great MIR, great service. I have yet to try one of their PSU's though I always go with Corsair on the PSU but I have heard great things about XFX PSU's.
I never had to RMA something so I wouldnt know how that goes. All xfx gpu's I have owned I have never had a problem with. Even a couple that i have sold are still in use that are atleast a few years old. Not one problem.
I think XFX has great products. I hear nothing but great reviews from their owners. I always go with corsair on the psu's but if I had to choose a second choice it would definitely be xfx. Thats just me though

funny i just grabbed a 1250w xfx black. I am pulling my corsair ax 1200 and replacing it. One thing i was dissapointed is that the corsair had only six pcie.. only could run three way sli.. the power supply is awsome (corsair) but needs to be updated.. the xfx has more connectivity. I love the corsair.. its going into my brothers rig.

I really like the look of the xfx 1250 it goes right along with my haf x; looks like A milatary installtion : )

XFX psu = solid and worth the $$$

Wow you're running three 7950's on a 650w psu? I know 28nm brings major gains(well, more like losses) in power consumption but I didn't think it was that significant.
