Any future in COD4 or should I go for CS:GO? - Page 5

I laughed so hard at BF3. That's like suggesting candyland to a chess grandmaster.

Of course, I'll have to try some real CSS team play before I can know for sure. Anyone know a place where I can find some clans to play with? I'd prefer something where I can search for nationalities, since it's long been a dream of mine to play with Danes. My English isn't too bad though.

Putting flame suit on: You should try 1.6.

I was an avid 1.6 player and Source to me felt like a dumbing down.

I'm reading and hoping GO is more like 1.6 mechanics.

Super excited for GO. I love 1.6 mechanics but I'm getting old and only good players are still around. My aging reflexes aren't saving me.

Hopefully GO will have the same mechanics + more people.

Edit: No idea why people bashing BF3. If I was gaming for money, I would definitely invest some time in getting at least proficient in the game. Aren't there a few cash tournaments for this game floating around?

to bad the DOD 1.3 scene died, DODS killed it, and DODS sucked i never understood that one lol.

As for a team based competitive FPS, CSS, CS 1.6, DOD 1.3, UT, TFC. Those are the ones that I'd actully take seriously, sadly alot of them are all but dead today frown.gif

It's true/definitely dumbed down. I've only put in 200 hrs in source and it was hard to adjust (but my pc had issues with 1.6 oddly enough). Way easy to get random headshots, no scope, and hit reg is iffy sometimes.

I hope CS:GO will revitalize the CS scene /inject new life into it the way SC2 did to Brood War

I wish I could find a decent competitive FPS. It seems every game I play is at or near the end of their competitive lives. Also would be helpful if I knew where some ladders for games were (all I know is GB). CS would probably be your best bet from what I've seen OP, COD4 is mostly dead D:

Where are you from? Depending on your location ill throw up a few for you. I know the North American Scene better as that is what I'm still involved in.

CS 1.6 is your best bet. Source is fun, but the mechanics in 1.6 are superior.

Those suggesting BF3, I really do hope you're joking. Battlefield competitive scene has always been a joke, the only CPL Battlefield event that was hosted is a perfect example of that.

I dunno i prefer the mechanics in CSS to CS1.6, CSS is overall the better game, CS 1.6 was good for its time, but cSS is just so much better biggrin.gif
