120Hz IPS ? When ? - Page 3

If you've used an LCD before and were okay with the colors, you'll probably prefer a 120Hz display to an IPS (especially since a lot of the cheaper eIPS panels are only 6-bit). The move from a 60Hz TN to a 120Hz TN seemed much bigger than the move from a TN to a 6-bit eIPS panel to me.

dp cables are cheap. and i think anyone interested in a 120hz monitor has a gpu with at least a dual link output.

my gpu does have DP... (7970 ATI)

Please read my last post, I've already decided to go for 120Hz... I now just have to find which one.
Do you know of a complete list (I know there are still very few available) of 23" 120Hz good IQ panel ? (with DP or DUal DVI-D

you why are you worried about 60hz hdmi.... lol. it's simply old technology. and manufacturers have to pay a fee to have hdmi vs dp which is free. which at a few cents per unit translates to millions of dollars to them (which they dump on us).

O Wow 700D finally got released in US? never noticed. yeah look like it has both hdmi and dual-dvi...im not sure what else is different..i *think* the panel is the same...however, the stand/base is different. 750D has a bigger stronger looking base imo. D700 base/stand looks a little on the thin/weak side. if panel/IQ is the same..get which every is cheaper i guess...unless you don't have a gfx card with displayport...than 700D.

i'm pretty sure the ports and stand design are the only differences.

Had a 30", 1600p IPS... was good for games. Colors and screen uniformity and resolution were all fantastic.

Bought a 27", 1080p 120Hz Samsung S27A750D.... and havent used the 30" IPS since. !20Hz is simply too awesome for the games I play, which are mostly FPS and RPG.

I would go 120Hz.

Just make sure you have a good GPU solution if you go 120Hz... it take a lot of horsepower to play games at more than 100fps.

it'd be nice if everyone updated their rigs...
