[Quad monitor setup] Need help identifying this desk (will give rep for any help/advice)

Hey guys. Right now I only have two monitors but later when I buy two more I plan to buy a quad clamp to mount them. I really want this desk if it's possible to identify it or find a similar one. I currently have the galant corner desk and it just takes up too much space for what I need.

Here is a 2nd style desk: eITxi.jpg

I found this desk at IKEA but I really don't want to spend more than $100

edit: If I can avoid having to go to IKEA I prefer it. IKEA is about 12 miles away just to give you an idea why.

I know you said no Ikea (it's 50 miles from my house and I have a small car, so I understand) but this might work, provided you are getting the clamp mount.

Cheap enough, and it looks very similar to the first desk; though at 59" wide it may be smaller.

Two areas of a desk that I would carefully consider:-

1) local strength (red oval in pic)

This is the area of the desktop that the clamp holds onto. Assuming each monitor is about 4 kgs (10 lbs), four monitors will have a total of 40 lbs weight that has to be transferred from the clamp to the desktop. computer desk.JPG

2) table stability

This concerns how the desktop transmits the weight to its legs and then to the ground. If the connection (red rectangle) is not strong or the legs themselves are weak, the table collapses.

The Fredrik's desktop is made of particleboard (which is typical of Ikea tables) whose strength for a 40 lbs force worries me a little. I would much prefer a desktop either of metal or of hardwood.

The Fredrik's connection (ie the 8 screws) between the desktop and support frame looks OK to me.  However I have not seen the real product (especially the 4 blue connections) and so I cannot say for sure.

IKEA says the Fredrik is designed to hold up to one 19'' monitor. So, holding 4 monitors (especially all concentrated at the edge) might pose a stability issue.

Lastly, I am not sure if you can find a good sturdy new desk good for your purpose for less than US$100.

I was able to get the FREDRIK desk for $30 from someone nearby on craigslist.. I think this desk can hold more than it says, I have my speakers, and 2x 23.6" Asus monitors on it.
