Mid Budget Computer Build - Opinions

ok so im building a mid ranged computer dedicated to gaming and such, running complex programs at once and all that, you know the deal.
but im not all that great at computers and need some opinions, price caped at $1500
i do live in Australia though, so please dont send me Newegg links, it has no use to me.
Heres the build ive kinda settled on:


CPU: i7-2600K i5 2500k - $229

HDD: WD Black 1TB - $149

OS SSD: Kingston SV200S37A 64G - $97

Motherboard: G-B Z68XP-UD3R - $175

Graphics Card: 1280M GTX570 Asus - $385

RAM: 8G Kit 2133 G.Skill Ripjaws-X - $92

Power Supply: Antec TruePowerTP-750 - $137

DvD Drive: SATA LG - $20

Case: Thermaltake V9 (5 Fans Model) - $103

Operator: Windows 7 Home Premium 64b - $94

CPU Cooler: Thermaltake SpinQ-VT NZXT Havik 140 - $60

Total - $1540

Looks pretty good. However, can you pick up an unlockable 6950? The reason I ask is because once unlocked they perform really well (especially for the price relative to the 570) and I would say 2gb of vram is pretty essential these days. Just moved up from my 5870 to a 6950 2gb and, while the 6950 isn't supposed to perform all that much better I can now play skyrim with the 2k texture pack due to having more vram. Plus it will cost you a bit less and get you to your budget price point. smile.gif

Look like a nice setup but yeh consider a 6950, ati seem to have nice cards for nice prices at the moment, also have a look round at all motherboards as both asrock and asus have some nice boards at the moment and the majority go with them
