Adblock Plus and Noscript is whats keeping me on Firefox. I'll never leave Firefox unless Chrome comes out with a true Adblock Plus and Noscript replacement. Currently, Adblock doesn't block the ads, but instead just hides them and the Noscript like addons just don't compare to Firefox's.

The noscript issue is true but the "hiding" issue with adblock extensions hasn't been true for months now

Does it block ads within videos now?

Great release by Mozilla, now I can remove the memory eating Firebug extension since they've already built in the feature in developer tools.

I normally use Firefox but at work, our ticketing system runs A LOT faster on chrome/chromium than FF sadly. So I don't mind either.

You have to enable experimental extension APIs and even still, it doesn't always work. The other problem is you can't add more than 3 filters to adblock plus on chrome or it starts using an inane amount of CPU and severely slowing down your browsing.

If you enable the wrong ones, it makes text appear incorrectly.

Firefox addons have always been more functional and stable, I just thought Chrome would have stepped up their game by now.

My text is not affected with the two settings that I mentioned. You could be doing it wrong wink.gif.

They don't have to unless they plan on expanding their user base. It would require a fundamental redesigning of the browser to come remotely close to the versatility that FF has. If you asked me one year ago, I'd say I wished for a more functional version of Opera/Chrome. Ask me now and I'll say the other browsers (except Opera and IE) can burn in hell, FF is doing everything and more.
