windows mouse settings and the truth...l 5/11 vs 4/11 etc

Thread Starter
So recently someone told me that 5/11 was not only a setting that caused pixal skipping but other negative effects and the 4/11 was a 1/2 ratio and so it just skipped half of the pixals and thus was more accurate in that sense that it was the same pixal skip every time

can someone clarify what exactly 5/11 is compared to other windows mouse settings?

im currently using 5/11 just because thats the only speed im really able to function at...

so then would it better to use a 2:1 ratio setting and just get a higher dpi mouse? i need around 1:1 ratio for my monitor res and spawns 1800 speed works best for me at 41 percent in sc2 or 5/11 windows

hmm, also why is part of that write up cut off?

2:1 ratio is very bad, everything above 6/11 should be a no-go.
If you meant 1:2 ratio, then no problem.

5/11 is 3:4 (pixel:count ratio). It means every 4th count from the mouse is ignored resulting in 75% of speed. It's a bit inconsistent, but no pixels are skipped. If this setting is ok for you on the desktop, keep it. In FPS game I would change it to 6/11 or 4/11, just for the peace of mind wink.gif .
