I have a xspc dual bay resevior/pump. Have tubing too. I want a really good cpu block capable of using on most sockets and a good 120x2 rad. What else do I need? Fittings wise and all.

I'd go with the EX240 over the RX240... It's thinner so you've got more room to work with, it's cheaper, and if you're using fans from about 1200rpm or up, it matches or outperforms the RX240 (see this comparison of 360's, the same data should apply to the same series of 240's). Both Yate Loons (the go-to fan for a budget build) and Gentle Typhoons (popular choice for quiet builds) move enough air that the EX should match or exceed the RX.

This is very true as I have both the EX and RX rads. I just used the RX as an example. I'm getting to the point where I hate hearing fans so I guess that's why I went for the RX
