[TF] MegaUpload User Data Soon to be Destroyed*update* - Page 6

millions and millions of files and links throughout the entire web = r.i.p

This is the sort of thing that makes me happy to have not seen any movies, purchased any music, or watched television for years.

Who knows how much more damage the Entertainment Lobby will cause with their death spasms as they flail about with violent litigation while clinging to a fossilized business model that was irreparably broken by technological progress a long time ago.

What can be done?
Starve the beast.
Stop giving money to Hollywood and big name record labels, and stop watching television channels that generate ad revenue based on number of viewers, and stop paying for non-indy games.
Be the change you want to see in the world.

You know the user data getting wiped is a good thing for Megaupload in the upcoming court cases and so forth. This could be used to their advantage.

This. I don't watch the smut they have on tv. There hasn't been any good movies through Hollywood with the exception of a rare few like avatar. I don't even bother listening to the crap they consider music that's been said and done over and over again. It's sad that people still support their industries this much. The Internet will render all of their old tricks irrelevant- and has been since its conception.

This needed to be quoted once more. It deserves the recognition.
