I would definitely make a custom fan profile then and at least keep your card under 70c. the OC'd 6870 i used to own didnt like going above 70c.

U can use sapphire trixx to make a custom fan profile. There are others too, but thats the one im more familiar with.

Ok so once its done downloading open it and unclick the Auto fan speed. then set it to whatever you want and click apply. Hope this helps
