Nice! Thats a huge improvement. Now try playing BF3 or Skyrim and see if it solved your issue!

Hmmm.
Im not to sure about the saphire one but i have a xfx dualfan 6870 and it also easily gets abive 80c.
I asked xfx if there whas smt wrong but according to him its ok for a vid card to get those temps:s

dont look to much to my talk as im tottaly sad with this card and i really regret getting it:(
it doesnt even do hdmi>hdmi to my acer g245hq screen or gives a proper ress on my 40"samung full hd led tv

I suspect that I've seen this behavior on my setup. I'm not familiar with how to verify that this "feature" is turned on or not and can you point at some documentation on how to fix it? Admittedly, poking at the firmware of my video card does not excite me. Any advice? Oh, the machine I'm talking about is in my rig-sig below, one is an XFX 6870 black edition and the other is an MSI 6870 hawk in Crossfire.
