As an unrelated question, how much physical space are we looking at? I might have an evaporative cooler built by then that I might want to show off.
In terms of thefts, we will have two security guards, lots of members looking out for each other and cameras recording things. People have to take their own precautions though. If you are super worried about it, maybe you can even get it covered in your insurance? Anyone who partakes in ruining the event with stupid stuff like this will be met with the police.
In terms of hacking, we will be asking everyone to come with a clean install (with only a select set of applications), fully updated. I know it's a pain, but it keeps you safe at events like this. Again, you have to take your own precautions here. Anyone attempting to "hack" will be dealt with - but in theory, there is nothing to hack here.
We will have 8' tables. Thinking between 2-3 per table. But I need to see who wide they are.
