Are you trying to overclock ?

It looks like a very nice budget gaming rig to be honest with you.

asus dvd burner - $19
cm storm enforcer - $90
gigabyte 560ti - $189 after MIR
corsair tx650 - $80 after MIR
sidewinder x4 - $47
cm storm spawn - $40
gskill value series 2x4gb (8gb) - $37
asus P8Z68-M Pro - $125
intel i5 2500k - $230

total: $918
total after MIR: $888

OP I think this rig would be much stronger and last you awhile, and be blazing fast. or you could dump the CPU to a 2100 like you originally had and upgrade the graphics, but at 1280x1024 you don't need that. you don't really need the 2500k either, just squeezing in the best hardware for the price. the psu gives you headroom for alot of configs, and i like the asus mobo better (probably just personal preference.) the mouse and keyboard are preference as well. you should check google for some reviews, and make sure you have the right grip for the mouse. i know i left out the hard drive, this is mainly because the ridiculous pricing since the flood. wait or rip open an external.

i picked up the ram last month for $30,
the psu i picked out can run a gtx 580,
plus, at my resolution i can probably max out any game at 40-50fps.

aw it's nothing special! tongue.gif your rig looks good, i just think you can get more bang for your buck. like i said though, i would wait for prices to go down to buy a hard drive, or find one laying around, or even open up an external hard drive. you could always save the money too smile.gif an i3 and 460/550ti/560 would be fine at that setup. you might be able to find some of this stuff used around OCN for even cheaper, i3 2100's go for $80-$90 thumb.gif
