Dell E530 shutting down due to thermal event, Im running out of ideas, advise?

Thread Starter
Can someone please advise me on what else I can do to determine why I am having system shutdowns after logging into windows for 20 minutes. I have taken several steps to fix issue. Am I missing something? I have cleaned all vents and fans. I have cleaned and reapplied thermal paste and ensured heatsync is properly in place. Both fans are turning and no loud noise. I have downloaded Everest and speedfan. Temperature seems to remain below 35 C. One issue that bothers me is with speedfan. In speedfan I go to charts, switch to fans and it shows nothing. Its like it doesnt recognize any fans.Could this be it? I am from Hack Forums and was advised to look for an answer here, I appreciate any input. * I have also cleared system log at start up. Thanks in advance

Why do you assume temps are an issue?

Intel CPUs don't just shut down, they throttle (ie automatically slow down so they generate less heat) if pushed to far.
