It has good performance, on games that use to the CPU more I saw a 20 fps jump in GTA iV from 40 fps to 60 fps 1920x1200 most settings maxed from my 955 BE. I haven't used BD yet I'm waiting on the revision, you might have been better served waiting a couple of months as well. But if you have the funds whty not 1100T you'll get awesome performance on everything with your 6970. Also I was going to be getting a crosshair IV when you get your CPU oc could you drop a post on your NB and FSB speeds I wanted to kno how much more performance I would get upgrading the MOBO. thumb.gif

Yeah no problem, I was thinking of waiting on the Piledriver before updating but I didn't know how long I was going to have to wait. Since I bought the Crosshair V I will at least be ready MOBO wise to upgrade to the new CPU. I've read nothing but great things about the 1100T so I'll be happy to get 4.0 - 4.2 out of it! I'll post some of my results once this build progresses! Thanks for your input!

Yesterday I received almost all of my parts, I'm just awaiting my RMA for my ICEq 2GB HD6970. Other than that my build is progressing along nicely. Let me know what you think, and if you have any suggestions I'm all ears!

Here are all of the parts lined up and awaiting me to start putting them in! This is my favorite part of any build, unboxing everything!

Here is the box for the Corsair H100, lets open this bad boy up and get it ready for install into my case

Here is the radiator with both fans installed, almost ready to mount to the motherboard. I'm thinking of getting some Noctua Fans for better performance!

Here is the Corsair 400r Case, this thing is just an amazing case for how cheap it is. I was just amazed at all of the features you would expect from a higher priced Corsair case. Made putting the computer together so much easier!

Here is the ASUS Crosshair V motherboard inside the Corsair 400r case. Looking pretty darn good =)

Just can't beat those for bang for buck aesthetics and easy cable management.

Here are some more pictures of the build.

Here is the Corsair HX750 installed in the case, I have to say that this is a very impressive power supply. Its super quiet and very nicely packaged.

Here is the Corsair H100 radiator and a few of the other components that are installed. This case has a ton of space!

Here is the Samsung 830 SSD being prepped to go into the case. This SSD is going to SMOKE!!!

YEAH!! I finally got my HIS HD6970 in today! I had to RMA the one I had a couple weeks ago because the FAN didn't work.

This thing is so darn big! I could barely fit this thing into my old Antec 300 case. It was barely able to fit inside that small case. I'm excited to see how much performance I will get from this card.

Here is the HD 6970 inside the case, what a perfect fit!

Shots of the Corsair case inside after I've installed everything, I really can't wait until I can order some MDPC sleeving. I was thinking of doing some Red/Black sleeving, what do you guys think?

This computer is done for now, but still needs to be sleeved which I hope to do when MDPC opens their store again! I can't wait to see the difference in looks when I actually get the materials to perform this sleeving.

So I decided tonight to go ahead and actually truly water cool this setup. I went off to performance-pcs and ordered an EK-H30 HF 240 Kit which should be here on Friday! I'm excited to see what this setup will do!! Ill keep everyone posted as it progresses.

Looks great !

What is crazy is how easy it is to put a computer together with the space and ability to just put it together like some legos and it works great.

I think you will really enjoy a good basic water cooling setup. Were you planning on doing the GPU as well ?

I am debating getting the new 300R, as it is $70 AMIR... dunno just depends ha.

Hey thanks for the input! I really had a good time putting it together and its so nice to have such a great case as the Corsair 400r. I think after I see the performance of the CPU on the EK system I might upgrade to a bigger radiator and pump that will be able to handle the GPU as well.

I can't wait to see the build quality of the EK system because I've heard nothing but wonderful things about EK! I post pictures up once I get this bad boy in.

Wow, what a clean build! +rep! I lol'd at the GPU cooler's FAN not working. Of all things, you would think that would work out of the box. rolleyes.gif

Makes me want to try to convince my wife to let me upgrade!

Just curious, if its not too rude to ask, how much did you end up getting the case for?
