Should I switch from my i7 950+Sabertooth X58 to a 2500k+P67 Mobo at no extra cost?

Should I? The upgrade will not cost me a single penny unless I go for a motherboard that's over $160. Any good $160 motherboards out there that are better than my Sabertooth X58 quality wise? I might pay a little extra to get a $180 P67 motherboard if it's THAT much better but I can't go past that.

Is going from X58 to P67 even worth it?

I'd do it. even with cheaper motherboards, you can hit 4.5+ with ease.

Open box, but this is a good board, especially for overclocking.

If you want a new one, or a z68, go with this.

it depends what you do with your pc. if you are interested in better gaming performance then i would recommend getting another 6950 and xfire it. if you need more performance for video editing or some program that needs alot of cpu power then sure the upgrade might be worth it. 10-20% increase if with a good oc.

See, I'm building a computer for my friend and I though about building it in a way that would benefit both of us. He still gets my old CPU/Mobo/RAM combo which costed me around $470 and I get myself a better performing setup which costs $400. Yes I feel a little stupid doing that since the setup I'm giving him costed $70 but I think that its a small price to pay seeing that I'd be getting not only a faster setup but also a platform that will be active for at least another year. Also, if I were to go Xfire on my current X58 motherboard I would lose the only available PCI lane which is home to my ASUS Xonar DG soundcard.

Thanks guys. I decided to spend the extra cash and go with a Gigabyte Z68 UD4. Its powerphase (I plan on having a 24/7 high overclock) design, awesome looks, and ideal expansion lane layout makes it seem like a good choice. Any known problems with the motherboard?
