Antec Kuhler 620 that was on the GPU with zip ties....I decide to move it to the CPU because fans gave it just as good cooling. I got the 2500k OC'ed to 4ghz with stock voltage just uped the multiplier

To be honest I told her ''just use whatever money you want for whatever I will be fine with my current computer'' but she keeps pushing that I just get a new one, but in doing so she is making this a very tedious process.
Oh mothers!

Its really not that hard it took me 45min to build mine.....

It does not seem that hard to assemble, and finding the parts does not appear that hard either. I just really like to pick at things until I finally feel 100% sure that is what I want. I myself am making this a lot harder than it should be. ;D

Sorry, lol'd again (before i hit the brackets tongue.gif ).

I'd seriously consider m3rc's offer. m3rc, what has your rig done? 24/7 folding for 6 moon etc? heavy gaming (unlikely with a 6870 but i digress) m3rc could teach you about (how forking EASY it actually is!!) building rigs rather than text we are all giving you. make friends, influence people.

if not, you are looking at a pretty high increase in cost (you could xfire the 6870 for cheap for nice gaming as that seems like the lower point of the machine, depending on your monitor....which you could buy a sweet one for the $500 saving)...

edit: the longest bit of building my rig was getting the damn fan on the HS! (clips just didn want to clip redface.gif ) Nice OC on stock volts! (soz it's 1:15 imma go beds! i'll update tomorrow on all next posts)

you would be able to get 8GB of ram for around 39.99~45 bucks. i would recommend two 4GB sticks so you would have the chance to get another 8 GB and have 16GB ram in the future smile.gif you would say, "oh i will not need more than 8GB" but believe me when you get some more money in your pocket and dunno where to spend it tongue.gif its gonna be spent on the PC biggrin.gif at least thats what happens with me tongue.gif

Plus, if you are only able to spend around 130~140 bucks on a graphics card, instead of buying a brand new GTX 550 Ti you would be able to get a decent used GTX 560 for that much money wink.gif good luck with your build my friend smile.gif
