best cpu thermal compound for AMD chips - Page 2

thanks guys I'll try A5... I mean seriously. I have removed numerous CPUs in my days. I have seen when thermal compound becomes hardened and burned onto a cpu. That is not my problem.. My CPU has never been over 130 degrees Fahrenheit.(its water cooled) This Creamique stuff IMO is awesome, but is not awesome for AMD chips that pull right out of the socket and have bendable /breakable pins. This creamique really bonds with a suction. And yes the pins are archaic. I love newer Intel chips.. They are awesome

I think your tune with change when you use AS5. You will realize what real quality thermal compound is, vs stuff that turns into a glue after a couple runs..lol

The ceramics have a thicker viscousity and do stick quick well. It takes care to not pull the CPU out of the socket. The more you use the more it sticks... wink.gif
