I think your on the right track in choosing 3930k build.It looks expensive right now but if you're not going to upgrade or create a new build in 5-6 years then i say go for it thumb.gif Just get one of the beastiest CPU's now and get on with it is what i would say biggrin.gif Anyways,with the list that you made i'd say you have about another $300 to spend for a GPU.If you don't mind me suggesting this mobo

you can save another $70 towards a video card.Reason being is you're going to need more money to compliment that CPU with a badass GPU.Everthing else looks good to me.

I wouldn't have a problem spending the extra cash now on the gpu I just want to see what Nvidia is bringing to the party since the 7950/70 came out.


That motherboard is comparable to the gene. Cheaper

Although a very nice build i cant help but think your money would go alot further with a 2600k build coupled with a high end graphics card, The 2500k/2600k is the best current cpu available for gaming with the 2600k being a monster at encoding aswell. This rig will last you for many years and be much cheaper leaving cash for added extra's like an SSD essential in my opinion thumb.gif

I thought about waiting for Ivy but didn't see real advantage of a 3930k vs a 2600k other than it costs double for two more cores. I went with 2600k and a modest 6870 GPU which I intend to crossfire later. Good luck with your upgrade.

That's going to be a really nice rig man. Depending on how much gaming you do you might want to think about adding another 560 ti later down the road.
