Please don't reply if you don't know what you're on about, 10ms/18ms of input lag is better than most HDTV sets and is actually a very good figure. It'll be absolutely fine for FPS gaming.

I wish there was a negative rep button for people who say something that's completely wrong. Will stop people spreading false information.
From the reading I've done fps gaming/online gaming is a bit difficult on some hdtv's because of the input lag so I would say it would be the same case for a projector.
Count in that you are using a high precision device to control your character not a clunky game pad and your headed for trouble.

I have tried playing FPS on an HDTV and I really could live with it.

I know someone who owns a projector but still sticks with his monitor for gaming.

Regardless, 10ms input lag is lower than basically every HDTV set available, bar a small handful. 10ms input lag is a very good figure. So the user who said that it's too laggy is full of ****.

Thanks for the replies.

Blindsay please update me when you get your 8350 id love to hear feedback.

I think cyph3r is right with the input lag. My hp zr30w has a documents 10ms of lag and I do not experience any perceptible lag. Also, the other 30" monitor i was considering a while back (Dell U3011) has 23ms of lag and established reviewers mention they could not perceive this.

"I ran this test twice as well because the results somewhat surprised me - 23 ms is a pretty substantial amount of input lag. This was being driven over DVI-D from a NVIDIA GTX 470, as a reminder. I played a lot of games on the U3011 (well, as many as I could in-between smarphones, CES, and other work), and never noticed input feeling laggy or just plain off."

I am leaning towards the 8350 because the input lag has been well documented at 18ms, the color out of the box is apparently very good, it has low audible noise and is very flexible with placement. I cant find enough info on the w6000 in terms of input lag (one poster) to pull the trigger. I wish i could see these in person.

WOW that looks really clear. What screen are you using and what size do you have that at? Is that ceiling mounted? Did you use lens shift at all?

Looks great man.
