Do not EVER EVER EVER buy an XFX product. EVER. - Page 3

Yeah I am surprised how many of you guys pay for shipping on returns. Yes I am aware TONS of companies have that as their return policy. But for most all you have to do is ask for a supervisor, explain you should not have to pay for THEIR mistake and 99% of the time they'll politely apologize for the inconvenience and say they'll make an exception.

And then you have some awesome companies like Ultra that bend over backwards to make you happy.

But if you guys are happy paying MORE money for a broken piece of equipment and the hassle of having to deal with it, hey who am I to stop you? Me, I prefer to stand up for myself.

Although I guess in this case I have no choice but to accept my raping. Which reminds me, anyone want to buy a used XFX 650w XXX edition power supply in a few weeks? It'll be like new! tongue.gif

+1 for XFX

...their policies where open to read prior to purchase...

...you bought the product whether you decided to read or research...

...modern day electronics sometimes breaks...

...yours did...

...after that nothing is surprising or out of line with the industry...

welcome to reality.

EVGA also requires you to pay 1-way shipping. Its not that big of a deal really.

However, it is true, I really do think manufacturers should pay ALL cost related to the product
when it is defective for reason beyond the user.

But any manufacturer that does that will lose ALOT of profit and its there
to prevent buyers from shipping back things even for minor reasons.

But yeah, I've yet to hear a single good thing about XFX's customer rep, which is
why I, nor anyone I know, would ever buy anything from them.

I've had great experiences with XFX, I sent in my old 8600GT which had a lifetime warranty and they sent me back a 9600GT, I love them and would buy from that at anytime. Sadly not everyone can have a good experience.

I had a 850w Antec that was squealing. Emailed Antec had to pay shipping to them. They gave me the choice of replacement PSU. Chose the one I wanted. They shipped it to me. Pretty standard RMA protocols.

Bolded the most important part. It goes both ways.

Had you of not flew out of the hurdles at them like a Mongoose attacking a Viper, they may have been more inclined to help you out. However you may percieve it, it certainly isn't being percieved like that. Certainly not by a few of us here, so how do you think they may have percieved it?

I just don't think you went about this in the right way.

You normally have to pay for shipping for RMAs. The only time I'd be really adamant about paying for shipping is if a bad replacement was sent to me, or if the product died say, within a month after I purchased it.
