Do not EVER EVER EVER buy an XFX product. EVER. - Page 7

Based on your conversation with CS, you weren't exactly the easiest person to deal with.

Work with CS and CS will work with you.

Based on your sig rig, I'm at a loss as to why you can't afford the $15 to ship them your defective PSU to have them ship you, at their expense, a brand new one. If anything, you should be blaming UPS/FedEx/USPS for the "high" shipping prices. But that leads to another set of things that can be blamed.

All in all, such is life.

Indeed. XFX is pretty bad. Bought my first ATI card (a 5870) with this brand. It went dead after several months. RMA was pretty quick, but the replacement card came all used, scratched and ugly.

Never again with them.

"I understand you expect your customers to pay for shipping, but that is not how I do things"

I wanna punch you in the throat!

It's quite ironic that you criticize XFX for poor customer service when you were quite a [censored] yourself.

I've done several RMA's with XFX, and I like dealing with their customer service. Well, perhaps they aren't the best, but if you're nice to them then chances are they'll return the favor. They let me upgrade from my 5870 to a 6970 without any problem.
Would you say ASUS is just as bad because they made me pay shipping to send my motherboard back?

So far my favorite customer service team would have to be NZXT's. Absolutely awesome people.
BTW, NZXT pays shipping both ways. thumb.gif

A bad experience with customer service is sending the PSU in to be repaired and getting it back with a screwdriver all the way through it and a note saying "We found your problem".

This is you whining about how hardware can't be made perfectly and they ask that you get the product to them so they can send you a new one in case of failure.
XFX sold that product for about the cost of shipping less than other companies that used the same platform anyway (in Ireland/ the UK) so you're not really losing out in this and even if you are you said yourself that you could have had a replacement for free.

This....I had to RMA a 4890 through XFX and it was much better than other companies I have had to deal with. They gave a me a upgrade and all i had to pay was 15 bucks shipping. Do you expect a company to pay shipping on every product that any idiot could have messed up themselves? With that logic...you could have got a bad clutch on your car so Honda has to pay for towing fee's on every car with idiots with lead foot and bad idea of how a manual transmission works. It doesnt make business sense.
The OP seems to be a "i do not want to say". Most of the time, you would have to pay for the shipping from your end then they will send the replacement and that is a standard RMA procedure. The only company that i can think of at the moment that would pay for your shipping is Logitech.
