New JLab Audio Vendor Rep

Thread Starter
My name is PhilWrir, and I am the new Vendor Rep for JLab Audio here on OCN.

Ive been a member on this site for a while now, so you may have seen me floating around, and after working at JLab for a while the CEO asked me to reach out to the enthusiast community on the companies behalf.

JLab has been making some interesting audio equipment for several years now, Ranging from USB Speaker Systems, to Wood and Metal Fusion IEM ear-buds, to Kindle Cases, to IEM With Microphone sets.

While we aren't what most on OCN would call Audiophile Quality(...yet) we have always worked to create innovative and unique products that meet the needs of our customers. And recently we are pushing more into Audiophile sound equipment.

I'm working with Admin to get authorization to have a nice big giveaway of some JLab gear, and smaller giveaways in the future.
I'm also hoping to get authorization to send out review samples from time to time.
I will also be posting sales and deals in the Online Deals Thread from time to time.

Right now we are working on some exciting projects that we want to get feedback from the enthusiast community about, and ill be posing those questions to you guys over my tenure as a Vendor Rep.

This is a personal account first, and foremost, so Ill be bouncing around and doing my thing even as I handle my CEO appointed duties.

I am a nascent Audiophile, so Ill be learning more about speakers and sound equipment as we go.
Please bare with me if I make a mistake.

Well you probably already know this, but OCN is a community of plain old get-nothing-out-of-it helpful people. You came to the right place for this.

Now when you say review samples, what do you mean specifically? Things for some of the members here to test out and give feedback on?

Just curious.

That is exactly right.

We just released a ton of new products over the holidays, and I would be sending units out to a few OCN members to review and post.
And as we release new units I would be doing the same thing.

and love that you guys are diversifying your view biggrin.gif I have used your burn in program before and saw how it was. It is great how you guys are trying. I see many companies, not really kinda acknowledge the audiophile community, but it seems you guys do as you guys have test tracks and do reviews. biggrin.gif

When is the giveaway and stuff? I would like to join in biggrin.gif

How will you guys do the reviewer thing? I have reviewed the HFI 580's

http://www.head-fi.org/t/583344/ultrasone-hfi-580-dj1-review

and about to write one up on the SoundMagic PL11. Just a little here and there. I would also like to get in that.
IT's hard to get chances like this over at head fi. So I hope I can try my luck in this raffle over here biggrin.gif

I'm still working with Admin to get authorized for giveaways and review samples.

But I will be posting about all of it as soon as I get everything organized.

Ive been pushing for a few things recently, one of which is pushing into the Audiophile and Audio Enthusiast markets more, and I can tell you this.

My recommendations have been heard.

The J6 and J.Fi are steps in the right direction.

If memory serves we are one of the only companies that has a Burn In track that is usable by anyone.

Giveaways will be based on a parent post announcing the giveaway and selecting random post numbers from random.org.
The usual OCN method.

For reviews Ill post a thread asking for possible reviewers, and accept applications through PM.

I know how frustrating it is as an enthusiast to see a company that slants reviews, so I will make it a point to select reviewers from varying music tastes, audio hardware knowledge levels, levels of audiophilia, and areas of the country.

Ill primarily be looking for well written, thorough, and honest reviews.

That is a solid review, and it is what we are looking for.

Keep an eye out for review opportunities and ill give you the same consideration I will offer everyone else. thumb.gif

Thank you very much. I was unsure how my Review would be pitted against other people's but glad it is a "solid" review. I will follow.
