Ok so today I start the modding for the ssd rack and bay signs … earlier I said 4 ssd’s but after reconsideration I’m going to only do 2. But that will allow me to spend more money on the modding.
I started sketching today and here are some concept designs of my plans for the bays

these will be painted a flat black and backed with acrylic and red LEDs so that the letters will be where the light shines through and these will be attached to the back of existing filler slots in order to maintain the brushed aluminum front theme

Yeah the pics look good now. Good to know I caused some inspiration too. The build that inspired you was actually inspired by heaps of other builds I'd seen over the years. Its a never ending chain.

ok so i went ahead and did most of the case modding last sunday and just now getting around to the update for it ...
P.S. there will be more modding smile.gif this is just the start
P.S.S. finally figured out image hosting and how to properly input them to the forum biggrin.gif

In these pictures you will see 2 mods.. one is a cable management one where it will allow us to showcase the massive amounts of sleeved power going to the 3 580's, while the second is a commonly seen mod done on the bottom level that removes the drive bays and adds a space/hole for a 240mm radiator

ok i wanted to get that last one up while i had time so i didnt include this one but as you can imagine there were things i had to overcome when modding ... one being that i used a sharpie to mark the grommet hole as well as the rubber feet on the case had to be ripped off in order to remove the bar the front of the case sits on so here is what i mean

Both problems solved thumb.gif
in case you didnt know. sharpie comes of very easily if you go over it with a dry erase marker wink.gif
