Sennheiser HD 558, no sound in right ear

Thread Starter
Hey guys, I'm having some issues with my new HD 558, basically, there's no sound in the right ear when it's plugged into the front audio panel which goes to my XtremeGamer sound card. I've plugged them into my laptop and the onboard headphone port, no issues. I've also tried my old headset and ear buds in the front audio panel, no issues there either. It only seems to be with my HD 558 and the front audio panel/sound card, could someone help me out here?

seems kind of random, but my ear buds went to the left only on my front panel. i went to the audio management, and the balance was all the way to the left. might want to check, just an idea smile.gif

Do you have that issue with another headset?

Ok, I have a hypothesis, I need someone to tell me if this is actually possible. The front audio ports on my case (CM 692) is a bit sunken, and the 3.5mm adapter that came with the HD 558 is fat, so is it possible that it's just not plugged in all the way?

that's very possible. can you open the case to push the front panel I/O up to make sure it's getting full contact? tongue.gif
