I am lost out of my mind, i really want to make this buy and would love some help. People say Nvidia makes better cards.....others say AMD gives you the best bang for your buck.....i want performance, something that will drop my jaw! something that will not make me cry.....i just want a card to enjoy Battlefield 3.

The 6970 2gb would be my choice, but it really comes down to where you live and what kind of sales you can find. Either card will perform very, very well, so get the most out of your dollar by finding the best deal.

From what I've read, the 6970 is just a tad faster than the 570.

my 6970 runs bf3 on ultra @ 1080p at 40 fps, 6970 is my choice especially in bf3 where it is better than the gtx 570

What are you using now? What are the rest of your system specs?
I would personally go with the HD 6970. It is slightly faster than the GTX 570 and it is future proof since it has 2GB Vram. The 1.28GB offered by the 570 just won't cut it for BF3.
I have a 570 and it runs great, but I agree with the others. Pick up a 6970 as the 2GB vram will help you out.

6970 at unreal resolutions. 570 for raw performance. 6970 for >3 monitors. 570 for greatest OCs.

Found this link that benchmarks the two head to head in specifically Battlefield 3.
