Xbox case with PC inside? - Page 4

Why don't you use the guts from a laptop? This would use an out of the case power converter so no worries about a bulky PSU and cables and would leave plenty of room for cooling.

Depends on what you are looking for...
Are you planing on overclocking it if possible?
Leave it at stock?
What socket?

There is this for 1155\1156 socket
Also this for 775 socket

I can probably find a few more for AMD, but not sure what direction you are looking to go...

I was thinking you could cut out a vent on the side for the h60

Try any 1u server heat sink. Have fun with the sound though.

i am planing on going with a 2500k or 2600k processor, so a z68 socket, and i would like as much graphics as i can fit into the machene, and do you really think it would be left at stock?

lol, good point...

I am thinking you probably will not find an air cooler within your spec... would think you will be good to go with the Hseries cooler... hope you have a dremel and a steady hand

i have both, however the Xbox 360 case is only overall 110mm thick from plastic to plastic, so that rad won't work frown.gif

okay, so after a few hours of reasearch and tearing one of the Xboxs apart here is what the current plan is to do,
Motherboard

CPU
i7 2600k (Ebay $150)
pci-e adapter

Graphics card

^ will prob change in the next hour
RAM

heat sinks will be a custom manufactured water block on a pump (still undecided) on a custom rad where the current exhaust ports are on the Xbox.
I will try to use the actual Xbox DVD drive and an old hard drive i have laying around untill it works well

If anyone can find anything wrong or that needs improving let me know, thanks!

Looks ok but what will you use for power again? If you want a little more graphics power, XFX makes a single slot 6770.
