cheap cpu/ram/motherboard combo - Page 3

Do you plan on overclocking the fx 4100? If you are, then you will want a board that will be able to deliver it enough power. Also, you might look into a cheap aftermarket CPU cooler, which might be a tight squeeze for that board.

if not overclocking you should be ok also at that price you can get the 6850 it ALOT faster and the same price as the 6770

seriously if you want to play bf3 to play bf3, Id go with the intel i3 2100.
If you plan to record bf3, or to something else with your pc, like encoding video etc. id go with a quad core
yeah the 6850 is the way to go for bf3 on a budget, 460 may do the job with better graphics (phisicx in bf3 ...) wiht a small fps losses

ya but it will barely touch a stock 6850 if at all plus u can oc the 6850 biggrin.gif

im not worried about playing bf3 all that much im using it as a reference for my goal performance area because i have it for xbox 360, i might be doing some encoding..
im planing on buying the gpu in sometime near june

well then a fx 4100, 6850 and 8gb of memory should suit u just fine try and get a motherboard with atleast an 8xx series chipset if u can

the 880 north bridge will give u a higher clocked onboard gpu which will be nice if ur running on it while waiting on a video card also the 8xx south bridge (i dont remember which one) will give u sata 6gbs and a few other nicer features
