So to start with, my cpu was prime stable. 24 hours prime small and large fft as well as blend at 263x14 (PhII 925) @ 1.45v. I have had this for a few years and play with the OC here and there. I have ran it as high as 1.6v before without problems and temps are fan with my corsair h50 and antec 300. I have been currently working on bringing down my memory timings. I ran prime blend for just over 4 hours last night with mem at (DDR2 1200 GSkill Trident) 438 @ 4-4-4-5-13-2T @ 1.8v before it encountered an error. So today I left it at those timings but turned the voltage up to 2.1v and it ran for over 7 hours before it encountered an error. (CPU temps averaged 52C, occasionally reaching 55C and all other temps were lower). Well after than erred I restarted it and set it to 4-4-4-5-14-2T @ 2.1v and ran prime blend. When I checked on it about 10 minutes later it had erred within minutes and the whole thing had froze up. I restarted it and now it won't turn back on. The psu comes on and the lights and my thermometer work but the fans just idle up and down constantly and it doesn't post. My tv registers that the pc turned on for about a sec then says no signal. Did I kill my mobo or something else? There are pics of my rig in my signature.

This happened to my brothers old P4.

It was a whole mess.
I'm not 100% sure what we did, but we pretty much reseated the CPU, disconnected all connections, discharged all caps w/ power button, let sit for about 10 minutes, and hooked it all up and has been goin' at it for a bit.

In other words, try reseating CPU, re-apply thermal, and maybe even try out a new power supply.

I have heard of some power supplies going out, similar to your story.

Nope. That was my next test as that is easier to swap out then the cpu. If that doesn't work I will through my old Athlon 5600+ in there and see what happens. After that I will be sad as I do not have a spare mobo...

On the downside, I'm headed to the gym so I can't start tinkering with it yet...

He was talking about the ram, DDR2 can do 2.1 volts I have 2.2v OCZ reapers.

Edit: To the OP do you have any other ram sitting around to try? When I was running my old C2 955 with DDR2 it was very particular about the settings, you could also try a different ram slots to see if one went dead. I have issues with memory on my M4N82 in the basement with memory in channel A. I know it's not the same problem, but memory can stop the post process.

No. haha. Pretty sure my mobo wouldn't even let me run the cpu that high. CPU was set for 1.45v and running in the low 50's for temps. Hell I don't even think it got out of the 40's when the pc froze up this time.

Also about 5 hours or so into that 7 hour run at 2.1v on the ram I reached in and felt the ram sticks and they felt nice and cool with the fan blowing on them, as did my north and south bridge.

I also know it wasn't my mosfets as I had an ordeal with those a while back as they would overheat and clock themselves down to about 1.1v on the cpu as a failsafe, but that was only an issue when I was running above 1.5v. At 1.45v I never had that issue as temps were about 10C cooler.
