NEED HELP friend's keyboard randomly stopped working?

Hi Overclock!

So, I was on skype with my friend and his keyboard randomly stopped working during a game of Starcraft. He tried restarting his computer (luckily he had no windows password), and then his headphones and speakers stopped responding aswell. His mic still works as well as webcam and mouse, but no keyboard or sound?

I'm posting for him since well.. he can't type.
Appreciate the help.

i would have him shut off the computer and unplug/replug everything and see if that helps.

He pretty much did, but is trying again now. Thanks

What kind of sound device is he using and is the keyboard USB?

The keyboard is not USB - and he has actually tried more than one. It uses PS/2 Connectors? I believe that's what they are called.

And restarting got his headphones to work, so I don't think that's really a problem anymore.

I actually lied. I thought both the keyboards he was using were PS/2 Connected - But apparently he has a wireless logitech one that is USB. Neither work. Sorry for the wrong info.

Appreciate the help, thanks.

And also - In device manager, the PS/2 one did not appear, but the USB one does - it just doesn't respond.
